Good Morning! I hope this finds you all awake and well and hopefully dry. I hear that the Southeast got pelted with heavy winds over the past 48 hours. We are receiving the rains from that storm today and tomorrow. It is just drizzling though, not near the impact you all have had.
I know, I know, enough with the weather chat. Jeremy is up in a chair this morning, but heavily drugged. They have started him on phenegran because he is experiencing some nausea from the anesthesia, pain medicine, and jarring of his body. So he has vomited this morning, but what I know right now, that has only been one time. He is expected to start attempting to begin a liquid diet today and will most likely be transferred to a surgical floor room later today. That is the next step down from IMC. He will still have the drainage tubes in and this floor is better equipped to deal with that than the 5th floor, which he was originally admitted to. He is clicking the pain pump often, so I know that he is hurting. Please pray for endurance and fight on his part as that is what is going to be required of him for a successful recovery. He is fully capable, but prayer warriors behind him will make it all the more empowering.
I should be able to give you more around lunch time today. I am now able to funnel calls through both phones now. I am no longer be contacted by a doctor through my phone. I should also see Dr. Malech sometime this morning and that will give us more information on his progression.
He needs to eat to help his tummy. Pray he will try. Pray that I will be the coach that I need to be - stern & patient. Pray that Emma has another great day. Pray for the people of the NIH as they watch us. Pray that Jesus radiates through our lives. Praise God for this facility and again, thank you for paying your taxes.
