Jeremy has had the CT scan this morning and is now in a waiting phase. They were originally planning to perform the CT scan and then come back to get him for his procedure (the repositioning or removal of the tubes). We waited and were informed by the nurse that they were on their way to get him for the procedure. However, the call for the escort to come get him was cancelled and they would let us know when they were coming at a later time. Many things could be happening. They could be full down in the minor procedures area and Jeremy is having to wait. There could have been a more serious procedure for someone else that must be completed right now and so they bumped Jeremy in order to get this person in. Or, they could be re-evaluating Jeremy's CT and consulting other physicians on what is best in terms of treating his lungs. Pray that they PULL ONE. Pray that it seem impossible in terms of logic to leave one of them in. I can understand backing out two of them, but let's get at least one gone.
Pray for them to hurry up, though because he is actually willing to eat and we need to get some food in him. He cannot eat until after the procedure, nor can he have any fluids, so we need to get this show on the road. He even asked the nurse if he could go down to the cafeteria with me after the procedure, so I a m thinking he is wanting some escape time. Pray he feels well enough to do so. He felt good two days ago, after the procedure, so it is possible. He has now walked twice this morning. The first time, he made 6 laps as we played the Alphabet game to pass the time. We just went again once more and that has worn him out.
Thanks for enduring my little rants last night. I was obviously delirious. I will try to not send any more whiny messages. It was just your little peak to see I am human. :) A jug of Milo's when I get home will be added to the grocery list. Oh, and please let my precious HMS friends know, I have a bag of pretzels and these nifty little containers (about the size of 2 pats of butter) of creamy peanut butter that are more than sufficient for the time being. Heehee! Hug and kiss my girls again tonight. I cannot wait to see them!

Jodi - I was drinking Milo's tea when I read this. Is there anything better than a glass of sweet tea? That's how I get MY caffeine. You are right - nobody in that area of the country understands the beauty of "the house wine of the south" (Steel Magnolias).
I am praying that they get it in gear before Jeremy changes his mind about the cafeteria!
You have 6 20oz Milo's teas coming your way and some real chocolate chip cookies.
Is there any other "needs" that you guys would like?
We are in awe of you guys! The only other need we have is to get home. The countdown begins. -Jodi
