Jeremy has been relocated to a room in the surgical wing of the inpatient care. He is removed from the numerous monitors that were robbing him of rest in the previous ICU area. He is now only connected to a saline drip, a self-determined pain pump and will receive oxygen this evening as he tends to have lower oxygen counts when he is asleep because he is a mouth breather.
Currently, he is experiencing an elevation in temperature because of the incision and the inflammation that goes along with the disturbance of certain areas of the body. Pray that he will be able to continue recuperation and assist his body to fend off this fever. He is resting well, as is Emma in the recliner next to him. Both chest tubes are still in and will continue to remain in for at least another day, possibly more.
So once again, you have prayed him through to the next step. The best treatment for this fever is to breath in and out through the barometer and getting up to walk so that his lungs do not fill with fluid. So pray for strength and endurance. Pray for his appetite and the nausea to continue to stay at bay - that is best too.
I will most likely not update again this evening, but will give you a status again in the morning. He will most likely be ready to talk to people on Thursday, so if you cannot get our cell phone, I will post the room number and phone number for the room tomorrow.

This song reminds me of Jeremy. He is a great example of still serving God while waiting on God to heal him in his time. I thank God for birng the whole Powell and Anderson families into our lives. Plus I got a new nephew out of it. :)LOL
While I'm waiting by John waller
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait
I will move ahead, bold and confident
Taking every step in obedience
While I'm waiting
I will serve You
While I'm waiting
I will worship
While I'm waiting
I will not faint
I'll be running the race
Even while I wait
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord
