Lung Update #8 - Treatments are Working

Jeremy is better after experiencing several breathing treatments. The surgeon gave instructions for him to not be forced to get up or do anything more than his breathing treatments and sleep today. Already, he seems to be quite a bit more alert and interactive. We sat for a little while and read trivial pursuit cards until I was falling asleep reading. I then left to take a quick nap in the waiting room and Jason went in to visit with him and help him pass the time. He is now on his second round with the CPap machine and will have it on for 4 hours. He is getting more oxygen and it is very obvious that the body was in dire need of it. Your prayers are being heard, so keep lifting him up.

I will try to post one more after I visit with him tonight and I hope it is to tell you "good night" and not another long night of testing and such. We are already making arrangements for the rest of the family's return. Jeremy's father and step-mother left today to return to Kentucky. The will be recuperating and returning to their schedule tomorrow. Pray for them in this transition. Jason, Rachel, Dad, & Emma will either return Friday or Saturday, depending on Jeremy's status tomorrow. Pray for Emma. She will be separated from Jeremy and me for several days. So far, her schedule upon return is already filling up thanks to a smattering of volunteers.

I hope you are all doing well. I am good. I am resting when I can. I know that tonight will be better. Pray that Jeremy gets continued rest and that the beeping is minimal in his room. His oxygen saturation monitor keeps failing to identify his levels, and when it is struggling, it beeps. Pray that it just quits.

Please let me know if I can help in anyway with the girls. I'm sure Hayden and Payton would love to have someone else to play with. I'm home everydaywith them so it would be no trouble.

Reading Trivial Pursuit cards to pass the time...that explains so much! It is wonderful to log on and find good news and a little picture of the Jeremy we all know and love. Hang in there - He who began a great work in you is faithful to complete it!

Jodi: I wanted to let you know that Shelly and I are praying for yall. I got to talk to Jeremy a few weeks ago on the phone and it was good to hear what God is doing in and through you guys in Hayden! We are praying Ephesians 3:20 for you and Jeremy, and yes, we are daring to ask and hope for complete and total healing, complete and total peace for you and your precious children, and that God will do even abundantly beyond that, because it is HIS mighty power at work in us!

We love you guys,
Chason & Shelly Farris
