What does the Bible say about Interracial Relationships

Wow! What an interesting topic.

There are people who have used a variety of scripture passages to justify their own feelings about this particular topic. I'll discuss a few of them here:

Genesis 11:6-8 "The Tower of Babel":
The Lord said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand one another." So the Lord scattered then from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city."

It just seems silly to me that this text would be used as a justification for the church condemning interracial marriages, and yet this is precisely what happens.
Those who use this text argue that God desired to have people of different races separated, and therefore, he scattered them all over the face of the earth.
The only problem with this point of view, is that the text speaks nowhere of race, simply of language. If this hermeneutic is correct, then we should not marry people who speak a different language than us, and put simply, it would be a sin to learn a foreign language at all.

Deuteronomy 7:1-3:
When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations-- the Hittities, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you-- and when the Lord your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy. Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons.

It is clear that God doesn't want the Israelites intermarrying with the foreigners who lived in the land before the Hebrew nation arrived.
Those who state the Bible forbids interracial marriage point to this text, stating that God didn't want racial impurities, and therefore condemns interracial marriage.

To best understand this text, we must look at WHY God made this prohibition, and, lucky for us, the rest of the text points this out.

Deuteronomy 7:4:
For they will turn your sons away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord's anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.

The issue is not interracial marriage, but inter-religious marriage. God is not concerned with the purity of the Hebrew race; he is concerned with the purity of the Hebrew religion.

The fact of the matter is this: foreigners were accepted into the Hebrew nation as long as they were willing to forsake their former gods and worship the God of Israel.

Ruth 1:16
But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God will be my God."

Ruth was a Moabite woman (Ruth 1:4) who intermarried into the Hebrew nation. She accepts the God of Israel as her God. Marries another Hebrew named Boaz and has a child name Obed. Obed has a son named Jesse. Jesse is the father of David... the KING OF ISRAEL. And it is out of this lineage that our Lord and Savior is born.

It seems that God isn't so much concerned with interracial marriage, as he is with the tainting of Hebrew worship.

And perhaps the most quoted text condemning interracial marriage:

2 Corinthians 6:14:
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

or you may have heard a different translation of this text (look at the KJV)
Do not be unequally yoked.

Some have argued that to be married to someone is to be unequally yoked. There are two problems with regard to using this Bible verse as a justification for banning interracial marriages.

1) It is racist. To imply that race is what makes someone unequal with regard to marriage implies that one race is "higher" or "better" or "more suitable" than another. Put very simply, this is a racist statement, and one that the Bible speaks against:

Galatians 3:28:
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

All are created in the image of God. All are equal and loved the same in Christ Jesus.

2) It is just a bad interpretation. Once again, we see that the issue with marriage spoken of here has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with religion. Don't stop after the words, "Do not be unequally yoked" continue on and read the rest of the verse, "with unbelievers."

In short, the Bible holds NO PROHIBITION for interracial marriage.

It is true, in the past the church has made very racist claims. We spoke out for slavery, using biblical passages to support our theories. We spoke out for segregation, using the Bible as a sword where it should not have been used.

We were wrong.

The truth of the matter is, the Bible speaks a message about unity and peace with regard to race, language, color of skin, ethnicity and gender, while speaking against the tainting of our faith with false religions and the foolish teachings of men.

So stand beside your brothers and sisters in Christ, no matter what color they are. Bury the hatchet of racism and let's get to work serving God.... together.

Thank you for this explaination. Today I have to tell my father that the love of my life is black. My father claims to be a good southern Baptist, however, racism still boils within him. One thing is true though...he never argues with the scripture. I am printing this article to share with him so that I am well prepared.

God created races, not racism. If He did not like or love diversity, then he would allow only one color to be dominant. This is another area where Satan has infiltrated and confused the minds of people. How can you hate a person because of their skin color? You can't unless you are unsaved, walking in ignorance, judgemental, selfish, and unhappy with yourself. People really need to not only read the scriptures, study the scriptures, but allow the Lord to trully be their lord. Skin color has nothing to do with a person's ability to love, learn, teach, be taught, etc. Throne of heaven is surrounded by every nation and tongue.Heaven AIN"T segregated. So if you don't like the different races down here on earth, you don't have to worry about seeing any of us in heaven,...you won't be there!

Thank you so much for this. I am having to face family that don't believe in interracial relationships, yet claim to be Christian. The love I have waited a lifetime for is from a very well educated, respectful black man. He loves me and my kids with all his heart. I know in my heart I was made to love him. I don't love him because of his skin color I love him because of his person he is inside. And that is the person GOD created. How can we as society say Blacks or any other race are good enough yet we train them to go to War, fight and die, become Doctors and save your life, Fight a fire to save your home, or keep the streets safe at night while you are sleeping how is all of this ok but yet we try to teach everyone they are beneath us to date or marry. We are all created equal in GODS eyes, we all bleed RED. I love this man with all my heart and I will face many trials with my family, however at the end of the day I will be happy and still a child of GOD!!

I am not racist - far from it - I strongly believe that God created everyone equally and we are all one in the body of Christ. However, using that same reasoning that God created races and loves diversity - why would He do so if we were supposed to intermarry? At some point if we all did so we would all become the same color down the line - simple genetics. I am uncertain on this topic and will continue to study but wanted to share my thoughts.

I'm in the same boat as well, this blog cleared up a lot of things, the love of my life is black as well, but i personally dont look at the outside as much as i do the inside, she has the most beautiful personality, and she everything that i look for in a girl plus some. But, im just scared my dad (A southern Baptist) wont accept her...in - fact i know he wont :/ I just dont know what to do...

Not sure how to look at it myself am not racist it would be something I would have to pray about 2 things that come to mind is why create a diverse people if we are different why marry different Israel was not to marry outside their own people and 2nd what about not being equally yoked definitely as my curiosity wanting to research more

God is not the Author of confusion, and I can assure you that one who gets involved in interracial relationships will have plenty of confusion going on. Interracial relationships hurt alot of people, and divides families. Especially in the south. Most folks who get involved in these types of things are just stubborn and rebellious, For heavens sake parents need to take the role of being parents, set some standards for their children and give them the facts of life. Many parents need to "Just say NO" to their children, when they want to do everything under the sun, And futhurmore, These little babies that are made in these relationships are the ones to suffer and be hurt most of all. They are not really accepted by either race. God have mercy on those who promote interracial relationships and destroy the lives of young people. Is an interracial relationship what you would want for your son or dautghter???

I am a white woman. I am also a strong, faithful, Christ-following wife of a black man. He is the most faith-filled man I have ever been graced to meet. We have three children within our 15 year marriage. They know that Mommy has white skin and they know that Daddy has black skin. They know that we each bring different family traditions and world views to the table. Our children also know exactly who they are…. They are CHILDREN OF GOD. They know they are chosen and they are loved by their Creator. They are loved and accepted throughout our community and by both of our families and any hindrance of acceptance toward them has been overpowered by God’s light that shines through them. NO ONE CAN DENY GOD’S CHILDREN regardless of the color of their skin. Our children are BLESSED beyond many other children of all races because they are cared for and protected within marriage (as God intended) and because they are raised in His word by two people who hold fast in their faith.

You are correct. God is NOT the author of confusion. Confusion comes in when we try to follow OUR WILL instead of HIS. The confusion within the subject of interracial marriage comes when we allow others to dictate in fear instead of turning to our Lord and His word for the answer.

If you find that you truly LOVE another then let NOTHING stop you. That love can and will stand the test of time and any difficulties that lie in wait IF you choose to commit to one another and to following Christ.

We (my husband and I) have overcome all obstacles over the years with persistence in Christ and with LOVE. If that makes me rebellious then I humbly accept that title. I pray for those who are moved by fear… and I pray for those who are moved by love as both will need the strength of Christ to heal and guide.

As for whether I would want my daughters to enter an interracial relationship… I want for my daughters a man who is rooted in Christ, regardless of the color of his skin.

Genesis 1:25

New International Version (NIV)

25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Does a cobra breed with a python? A catfish with a bass? A robin with a cardinal? A cow with a buffalo? Ask yourself, why is the human species the only species to do this? The answer is simple, because God gave us free will and desire. If all we had were instinct this would never occur. Regardless of how you may feel, we are not the same. Our races make us susceptible to different diseases which clearly makes us different. If God intended us to all be the same, we would be all the same. Just a cream colored race, that all spoke the same language, the same habits and so on and so forth. It is only desire or lust that brings this to light. This is not racism, racism is inexcusable. This is taking pride in who you are, who God made you, continuing the bloodline that God intended you to. He did not create us with the intention that we would change his creation to recreate it to our liking.

I wanted to add, that I'm sure that gay people are happy about their relationships as well. However it's not about what makes you happy. To the lady who's "white" husband left her, surely you are not basing your decision on this. That would be ludicrous. Ask yourself is this other man really your true love, or your hearts desire? There is a huge difference. That fact is, we are all created equal, meaning no one race is better than the other NOT meaning we are all the same. Look at something as simple as an egg, is a sunny side up egg the same as a scrambled egg? Do they taste the same? Look the same? Absolutely not even though they are both equally eggs from the same chicken, they are different. We are equally children of God however God prefers some of us sunny side up and some scrambled. Not sunny scrambled side down. When your children receive ridicule from people or you receive ridicule make no mistake this is sinful of both parties. Do you not think it would be sinful for you to make your children feel shame or hurt or cause them pain by parading around with them and a man of a different race? Do they not feel those feelings naturally? Who do you suppose instilled those natural feelings in them? This puts the burden of that sin on your shoulders. It's funny to me how often people say you're not a christian or you are racist if you don't except interracial relationships as ok. Don't mistake that as me judging you as you are me by telling me I am racist or not a christian, it does not effect me what your decision is and you are entitled to it, and I am not condemning you. It is not what I believe God has intended and I will teach my children as such.

Sarah Brinson said...

You are certainly entitled to your opinion…. And please realize that is exactly what it is.
First, for what you say to be true, people of different skin color are to be considered different species, which they are not. “Race” is not the same as “species” or “kind”. People of color are in fact HUMAN, made in God’s image. How does your argument stand when a white blonde male marries a white brunette female? Wouldn’t that be two different “kinds” according to your definition? When God commanded the children of Israel to be a separated people or to utterly destroy other peoples, it was always based on the principle of separation from sin, not the physical characteristics that we consider today.

Both the Old and New Testaments show that God does not hold any significance as to race. God sees us as one people; as "man." Physical characteristics are not a part of God's evaluation of man ". . .for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart" (I Samuel l6:7).

As for your second point, there are examples of animals that have different physical characteristics within the same greater species… for example, donkeys and horses are both Equines and they mate without assistance from humans. Have you ever heard of a Mule? Another example would be birds that even within the same bread have wildly various physical colorings and appearances. Of course there are the obvious, cats and dogs that breed even without the assistance of humans with other breeds of canines. In fact, the “pure bred” canines are known to have the most serious health issues to the inbreeding by humans to maintain the “purity” of the breed. So, even if different races were considered different species (which they are not), your statement that Humans are the only ones that breed with other “kinds” is not scientifically true.
Obviously two unrelated animals cannot mate and do not, but that isn’t the same as humans as with humans, regardless of skin color or bones structure share the same basic DNA make up and are considered the same species…. HUMAN.

And Gay marriage? The Bible is VERY specific and calls out LITERALLY homosexuality in a way that you cannot provide for your “race” argument. So really, if God had no intention for HUMANS of various differences outside gender to mate then I am confident He would have been as specific.

Your attempt to twist the bible to suit your purpose is only limiting your own ability to live and love like Jesus. I am thankful that I am not made to carry your burden. I choose to raise my children to follow the teachings of Jesus as He is our savior and sent to be our teacher. Jesus teaches LOVE above all else, without regard to physical characteristics.

As for my own marriage. I prayed for guidance. I prayed for a mate that would work within HIS plan for me, one who would help me to fulfill HIS will for me. I didn’t seek out or choose my husband. God chose for me a man who is strong in Christ, faithful and full of love for every other child of God regardless of their physical appearance and He chose him specifically for me. He was not intended for any other woman and I was not intended for any other man. OUR children are ours together and no other man or woman was involved.

My friend, there is more to life than the rules your parents taught you…. and a real loving relationship with Christ can teach you more than just reading words in a book.

Many blessings,
Sarah

ok the problems with your theory is to me as mine is to you, your opinion and your interpretation. I have heard of a mule, did you know that a mule is born sterile and cannot reproduce? what is your response to that? furthermore there are different species of humans
speciesplural of spe·cies (Noun)
Noun:

A group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding. The species is the principal...
A group subordinate to a genus and containing individuals agreeing in some common attributes and called by a common name

there is the definition for you. With that being said, can you get sickle cell anemia? Can your husband? If the answer to those questions are the same, then you are the same, if not then by definition you ARE different. A DIFFERENT SPECIES. As to your comparison to cats and dogs, simply what do you call a mixed breed dog? Frankly it is a mut, is it still loveable? of course. Is it now open to different diseases and complications than it would have been if it weren't a cross breed? Most definitely! You say pure breads are subject to disease because why? Inbreeding humans are subject to the same complications when inbreeding occurs. Quite simply if you breed a beagle and a greyhound what is the name for that dog? On your childrens birth certificate what does it say for their race? You say I twist what the Bible says, how do you know that you're not the one twisting it? Did you write it? Never did I say I don't love all of mankind. In fact I do love all of God's creations, I love dogs tremendously but I would not attempt to breed with one. I realize that is an obtuse comparison but so is your comment proposing I do not love like Jesus because I can clearly see with the eyes that God gave me that there is a difference in race. Never did I condemn people who are black or say I was better, only different, completely different and the reason I am different, completely different, is because God made me that way as he did you. The question is who are we to change that or not even give him glory and recognize the difference? Or to take it upon ourselves to create something different? God did not create a mixed race of people humans did. You did. Again let me be 100% clear, this does not mean I am better than you, your husband, or your children. This would not keep me from loving you, your husband, or your children. It is a fact that you CANNOT argue, it is a race created by humans. Lastly my point about gay relationships was many people justify them by saying "it makes me happy" and just because something makes you happy does not make it right or ok. Also relationships that are born out of lust and desire and I'm sure many of the people in those relationships are as you confident in their heart God specifically chose that person for them and would argue that you are wrong for saying otherwise. You are wrong for ever deciding how someone else's relationship with Christ is. I have a very loving relationship with my Lord and Savior. The Bible is not just a book. My parents did not teach me to think as I do. Who does God love more, the hooker selling her body for drugs or you? Which one can go to heaven? He loves you both the same so much so he sent his only son to die for you. If you both believe that and except his son as your personal savior you can both go to heaven. No one is better than anyone or loved more than the other, but there are MANY things that make us different.

Sarah Brinson said...

The answer to your question is yes. I, as a white person, can carry the Sickle Cell Anemia trait. So, in fact my husband and I are the same, HUMAN, and yet as individual and valuable as each of us are.
Your view is based of "facts" that have long been dispelled scientifically. Race was created by man, not God.
In your reply you defend yourself against things I never said. I didn't assume that you felt superior, yet you defend against that. To me that says a lot.

Michael said...

This is you implying that I feel superior or racist.

I never intended to bring science in to this for the reasons that science confuses people when it comes to God's reality. Scientist (most) believe in the evolution of man and not the creation. With young people here looking for answers, I felt it more necessary to keep these explanations on a God and Bible level. However you continue to bring up "dispelled" scientific "facts" which by the way you are undoubtedly twisting to your benefit, you have left me with no option but to clear that up for you "scientifically". I will do so through questions that anyone can answer as to leave no confusion. Can a scientist look at bones and remains and tell if that person was white or black or asian? Do white and black people have the same noses, lips and hair? Are their ears positioned on their heads the same? Is the muscle structure the same? Is the level of melanoma in the skin the same? These are just a few examples that are clearly showing you DIFFERENCES "scientifically". After answering these questions I'm sure even you can say with no equivocation, we are different species.

Genesis 28:1-4 * So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him and commanded him: "Do not marry a Canaanite woman. Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother's father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother. May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples. May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham, so that you may take possession of the land where you now live as an alien, the land God gave to Abraham."

Someone said earlier that they believe that gay relationships were wrong because the Bible SPECIFICALLY stated that gay relationships were wrong. That they would believe interracial relationships were wrong if the Bible specifically stated it. The rub is the Bible often refers to people of different ethnicity as "nations" thereby subjecting it to interpretation. People often insist that even though the Bible throughout scripture REPEATEDLY states to not marry those of other nations, that it CAN'T be referring to race. That it must simply mean different geographical regions or religions. Since Genesis 28:1 clearly states that marrying a Canaanite is forbidden, let us look closer at the Canaanites:

The Old Testament mentions a lot about Canaan, the half of Palestine to the west of the Jordan. This name "Canaan" has been found in Egyptian inscriptions of the New Kingdom, and also in the Tell el-Amarna letters. The Canaanites mostly lived in the plains (the coastal strip and near the Jordan).

The Amorites lived in the hill country. Other tribes lived in Canaan: The Perizzites, Hivites, Hittites, Jebusites, Moabites, Edomites, Philistines and Girgashites. The Canaanites descended from Canaan, the son of Ham and father of Heth, thus they were a separate RACE from the Semites. The people were never known to be united and was divided into numerous city-states, dependent upon Egypt. There have been numerous discoveries and cuneiform inscriptions, especially in the Tell el-Amarna letters.

Therefore, since the Canaanites have been (scientifically) determined to be a different race than the Semites, and marrying a Canaanite was forbidden to a Semite in the Bible, one could effectively argue that the Bible states do not marry outside your race. This is the only example I've researched enough to document a difference in race, but I'm certain others could be found with enough diligence. Given it's the Bible, isn't one enough?

What are they?... They are children.. they are individuals.. they are images of God.. race does not define a child.. love, knowledge, laughter, and hope.. is what defines a child. We do not need a specific group of people for accepance.. we just need to know that its okay to be different.. with our on special personalities..and our own special paths in life.. no matter what color our skin is..are the texture of our hair.. because no one will ever be the same... And no one will ever truly feel like they belong.

If it is not something that you would do based on instincts alone then it is NOT intended to be done by God.
There is no other way for me too make it more simple or plain or understandable for you, perhaps if I were able to sit in front of you with a box of crayons and some big chief paper I could make it easier for you. Unfortunately that is not an option. Let me try one last time to reach through and contact your brain. Please allow your brain to process what I'm explaining to you, try your best not to let what is "politically correct" or socially " acceptable" to cloud simple logic. Every single response in favor of interracial relationships (if you read them)are opinions based on emotions, and desires and not on logic or on the actual word of God. Quite simply and maybe the easiest way for a lot of you here since you are either closed to reason or just not intellectually capable of it, if you have EVER questioned if something, anything is wrong or right, then surely it is wrong. For those that may be a little slow, this is your instincts trying to take action. Now, instincts are what God has made you with, which are intended to be what you would use to survive and reproduce, with out thought or understanding or reasoning having any involvement. If you took five babies of each race and kept them all from ever having any influence from society or interaction with the babies of the other races and kept it this way until they were at an age to process their surroundings and allowed them to act on instinct alone with NO outside influence, only what God himself gave them and put them all in a huge room, they would immediately and instinctively go to the other children of their same kind, now if you keep them there after sometime their curiosity will cause them to interact with one another as well as their good nature will at some point allow them to care about each other. Now if you were to introduce turmoil after all of this interaction occurs, immediately by INSTINCT they would return to their groups. With all of that being said if you still are unable or unwilling to see or rationalize that instinctively which is again Gods program for us that we only mix creations through lust, desire, and self taught or learned behaviors then you will never get it and can take comfort in knowing that God still loves you as do I even tho you are ignorant.

If God is not against interracial marriage, then why are their certain diseases or physical problems, such as cycle cell anemia that only affects certain races, such as blacks or hispanics? There are other such things that affect just other races as well. So at some time there will be an offspring that will have all of these problems because of all the interracial marriages.

WOW, some real ignorant people in here...For those of you who don't understand im talking to Michael.

1 Timothy 1:3-7
New International Version (NIV)
Timothy Charged to Oppose False Teachers

3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. 5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm. How do you explain this then?

Just incase you don't understand the word: genealogy
noun
our genealogy has been difficult to determine: lineage, line, line of descent, family tree, bloodline; pedigree, ancestry, extraction, heritage, parentage, birth, family, dynasty, house, stock, blood, roots. I know rest our Case.

To anonymous,
Leviticus 19:19
You shall keep my statutes, you shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind, you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made from two kinds of material.

You can call me ignorant if you like, you can post scripture from Timothy if you like. However how can you see the spec in my eye over the plank in yours? If our fathers does not want something for our animals how could he want it for us? As I have pointed out clearly for you in the above scripture. These relationships are created from desire NOT by God or instinct. Now in case you are not clear on what the Bible says about our desires, again let me help you.

Galatians 5:17
For the desires of the flesh are against the spirit, and the desires of the spirit are against the flesh. For these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

If you need more clarity, I would be happy to oblige you. We are put here to help each other, love each other, but most importantly to love our father and spread his word. We must keep his statutes to be glorified in heaven, this is why I feel obligated to even continue to post on this thread, to help the young person who is in struggle with the DESIRE of their flesh and seeks the truth in order to do what pleases the father. Btw, I would like to commend this young person for not just doing what your flesh desires with out first seeking advice. To that young person, if there is even just a small fraction of you that wonders if it is right or wrong, that is a part of you that is not under your control reaching out to you, your INSTINCT. Listen to it, it is from your maker.

my beautiful, blonde haired-blue eyed 18 yr old college student has made some new "friends at another college at which she is looking to transfer next semester. She foud she prefers the smaller campus lifestyle much more over that of a Big10 campus that she is currently at...which I wholeheartedly understand. In the two weeks that she has been visiting her friends at the new campus on weekends, she has gotten VERY close to one boy in particular-an athletic male african amarican cheerleader (she plans on joining the squad at her new school). This weekend, it was kind of sprung on me that this young man would be staying with us for the weekend, along with a few of my daughter's other college friends(which I love having the kids over!). Here's my problem:
My fiance is supposedly "not a racist", but got up and left the living room not long after the kids sat down because this young man sat next to my daughter on the couch and put his arm around her. I could just FEEL him seething...meenwhile, I should add that my daughter has looked forward to this weekend for two weeks now,as she admitted to me last night that this relationship could definatly be going somewhere. He is a good looking, very polite young man who comes from a good family and has good family values. I like him so far, from what I know of him, and as long as he makes my daughter happy,I'm comfortable with her seeing him, regardless of the fact that (OMG!) he's a black man...LOL...I just need to know how to get past the pre-determined minset that my fiance has about ALL black people wanting something for nothing, especially using white women and (in his words) "throwing them away" once they get the woman knocked up".
This is going to be a REAL stumbling block in our marriage if we can't get past his racism against black men.
Any advice??

Signed,
KandyLand

My advice to you is read leviticus 19:19 and ask yourself and your daughter if God doesn't want your cows breeding outside their kind, does he want your daughter breeding outside hers? It's right there in black and white, no pun intended.

God have mercy on you. You're nothing but an ignorant, racist, pseudo-Christian, self-righteous liar. It's people like you who make this issue confusing. I would love anyone my son or daughter brought home as long as that person was intelligent and spiritual, and kind. Race doesn't define a person.

Typical response from a person who feels the actual word doesn't suit their liking. It is what it is, I've shown you all plainly, word for word what the Bible says. This is not just my opinion it is God's word. As anyone who has actually read the Bible knows, many lessons are taught through parables. If you use your God given common sense you see the lesson. It is given to you in a parableso you exercise your mind to find the meaning so it will stick. The Bible is very clear on this manner, however you were given free will because he wants you to choose to do the right thing if not it's useless. Notice how not once have I placed judgment on anyone, or bashed/name called. But those of you who try to twist the word to your liking simply cannot resist doing so. Just a little something to think about. Listen bottom line is, we can't judge others because they sin differently than us. Only you will answer to the almighty and only he shall judge you. A question was asked and an answer was given, backed with plenty of scripture, enough to make an educated decision. What you choose to do from there is just that your choice. Have an awesome day and God bless you ALL!

Your theory is flawed in that the interracial children could just as well carry genetic immunities from the other partner as well.

Unknown said...

Everyone who disagrees is a racist right. Your denial is not a problem at all right.
I'll start with leviticus 19:19 Gods own words.
Ye shall keep my statues. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind:
thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee. The rest of leviticus proceeds to spell out many other forms of sexually misconduct in His own speech.
Then Ezra 10:10, and 10:11 And Ezra the priest stood up,and said into them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
Now therefore make confession into the Lord God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from strange wives.
And of coarse Genesis 1:25, And God made the beast of the earth after it's kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
It seems clear to me that his (Gods) intent is to keep everything of one kind, and not mingled or made strange. That being said he is also the forgiving Lord God, who can forgive any sin so long as repentance is offerEd. Just because some of us interpret that honoring our own personal wishes and staying aligned with our heritage does not make us racist. There is plenty of scripture to support honoring and keeping separate ones own heritage and that mixing causes, confusion, insecurity, anger and hurts others. Non of which align us with love, peace, or joy. It's a social trend a product of this world that mingling happens, that doesn't make it acceptable to God. Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death (spiritually); thier blood shall be upon them. Because I believe what the Bible says I'm a homophobe and a racist in our current society. And that's fine, real and good Christians should expect persecution and certification from unwise people in the Gods name, like Christ himself. Our own personal logic and emotions have nothing to do with it, if you believe just what the book says.

Thank you Ryan, I have been persecuted through this entire blog due to my ability to read and comprehend. Soon they will be attacking you as well. The truly sad part is, this blog started by someone seeking what pleased God, seeking right from wrong. Due to societies choke holds they're probably more confused now than before. We were given an opportunity here to help fix the very thing that's wrong with this world and ignorance and sin have only promoted it here.

I think the issue people see here from reading the comments is the flaw of human thinking. God gave us free will so when someone says that interracial marriage is wrong because it causes issues in families and children they fail to see that it is not God causing these issues, but Satan and his evil at work. God created all men and women equal in his image. We gained different languages due to the tower of Babel, and different colors of skin by the different regions we settled in. If you think God popped out every color at the tower of Babel then you throw science out the window and are ignorant.

Whenever a child or family suffers from interracial relationships it is because the family, friends, classmates, etc. have been falsely raised by human standards to believe that the interracial child is wrong, but think. Is God not above human standards? If in anyway you think God backs up these beliefs then you are not a true Chrisitan, and whenever you think about another race negatively it is not God that made you think that way....EVER. It is merely human nature and Satan, which we all know fears the light for our deeds are evil.

Different human races are different species. Whites have a large component of neanderthal DNA and we are descended from a completely different 'fuzzy monster' so to speak than Sub-Saharan Africans. We're not even related to Asians either.

IQ's are completely different, our DNA is very different and I can list all the points on the DNA strands that are different.

This doesn't even begin to touch on endogamy versus exogamy in mating.

Seriously, no one with brains should be marrying outside their race. And if you are marrying outside your race, it's kinda a big sign to people who have brains that you are to be avoided. Sorry, harsh but true.

If you want to improve your children, you want to marry someone as similar to you genetically as possible so the recessive genes can find a match. It's already been proven that something like 7th cousin is actually the best match. This applies equally to all races.

It's imperative that the recessive genes find matches as they are the ones that have evolved most recently and tend to have beneficial effects on health and mental abilities.

And stop it with the God created everyone equal b.s.

People are most certainly not created equal. Look outside. Look at how some countries are fucked up, while others are not. It's not racism that causes that!

If you marry into a family with rampant alcoholism, you better be on guard for your children having alcoholism! It's the same thing with races. If a white woman marries a Nigerian, it's not like Nigerian society is that advanced. Your lowering your children. Deal with the truth.

This goodie two shoes stuff has to stop!

Too many women are getting screwed over by marrying the wrong men and being too idealistic about the world.

The harsh truth is, is that upper class people are spouting this bullshit so that everyone can complement them and say "Oh your so open-minded and loving!" and lower class people are believing all the lies and then making terrible terrible mistakes and ending up divorced and miserable.

I could shut up and go with the politically correct bullshit and have everyone love me and complement me for how enlightened I am...But I would rather be hated, and have no friends and die alone if it meant my words saved ONE person from making a terrible mistake...and ultimately hopefully those words will save entire societies.

You know why? Because I'm the good guy. I'm the real Christian. And you guys are the bad guys.

A "Christian" doing everything that God told us not to. Especially the leaning NOT on our own understanding. Your Scripture about not mixing cattle....we are humans. He never once said do not mix your races. God doesn't beat around the bush. His word is verbatum and when it changes, He says so. So that we know. Someone as learned as you should know that, right? He is not the author of confusion. And you are confused, and have caused nothing but confusion on a thread about God's word. Now how godly is that? God's word also needs no proof with science. Why do I need anything to affirm what He said? When what He says is final? You've begun to use your own logic, and even God said not to do that. You've made it more than obvious why.

I really don't care to get in this any further. I have done everything but write this out in crayon on big chief paper for you. But after the last comment I just have to ask "anonymous", Have you ever even read the Bible??? Obviously not. Over half of the lessons taught in the Bible are taught through parables. Again (for you crayon users) this is because if you are shown something you are more likely to NOT remember it as well as if you figured it out by doing the work. This is simple learning. Do you remember in school, in math when you were made to "show your work"? This was so you will retain the lesson.

All you need to do is know human migration. With that said, you will then realize that at one point we did not have all these billions of people living on the earth. Our Earth did not look like it does today. If you stick a group of white people with blonde hair in the middle of Africa and never let them have children with anyone outside that group, in a thousands of years, they will no longer be blonde with white skin. Our bodys are very adaptive and change based on our environment over the course of many thousands of years. This is just basic science. We all come from the same area of the world originally. The only thing that is different amongst us is our belief in who our god is. I love the lord Jesus Christ. He loves us all the same.

Quite simply arguing about this, is the sin... this is a slick way the devil has taken our eyes off of God. what is the point of all this... My interpretation of the Tower of Babel is about a story of keeping different tribes apart to prevent a one world system from forming. God confused their language and spread them over the Earth. That is why Europeans live in one part of the world, orientals in another and African elsewhere. The Bible says in Acts 17:26 "And has made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;" People seem to key on the one blood part and forget the part about God setting the bounds of their habitation. There are different races in different parts of the planet for a reason, and that I believe is to prevent the formation of a one world government. Pointing out that Moses married an Ethiopian woman as proof of biblical endorsement is not a good precedence given that Moses also murdered an Egyptian man and many key figures in the Old Testament went against the word of God and practiced polygamy, adultery or other such sins. God still used them in spite of their flaws. If you look at the United States and its precipitous decline as a nation you can see that all sorts of things are being tolerated nowadays that weren't 50 years ago when this nation was God fearing. My opinion is that omosexual marriage, mass immigration, miscegenation, etc. are all tools to destroy this country's national identity and bring about its demise. This will remove the country as a protector of Israel and allow the countries of the North to attack it.

Good points..I believe interracial dating is totally acceptable if you read the scripture..the breakdown I belief comes from ppl not reading the scripture and allowing other to tell them their tainted version of the scripture or telln ppl their beliefs that hve been passed down from generation to generation w/o referencing the scripture..from my research on the matter wat is of concern is not the race of the ppl but the belief of the ppl..the person u marry should believe in God..the times that God forbid ppl to marry another race was because that group didn't believe in God...interracial marriage is not a new phenomenon..it happened in biblical times as well..Moses was in an interracial marriage..research Gods response to those who opposed..bottom-line read ur word w/ an open-mind it will change ur life if ur honest w urself..we created the confussion..1John said love one another..not love those that look like u..Love is just that love not based on race but feelings..hve kids if u wish and if u raise them rght they will knw they came be different because we all are..everybdy should be teaching acceptance of others..not opposition..start w/ u and urs regardless of whether u date/marry interracially..Read ur word otherwise u can fall victim to false teaching..

I have a comment for Michael......You keep saying that when someone comes to want to be with a person from a different race that that is all from desire, right? Well, uh, even if you liked someone from your own race is that not also desire? You are making it seem like emotions and love are not from God. Psalm 37:4 says: take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Having a desire for someone is not a sin. God gives us certain desires. And desiring to be with someone of a different race is not ungodly. Do you think when we (actually, I'm not sure about you, but I'm not God) get to Heaven that God will separate us into sections so that different races can't mingle with others? You think He's going to say: :Ok my white children, don't have a desire to hand out with black or Asian children. Here in Heaven, we support segregation. And you also keep bringing up the argument of not mixing different animals. Look at a monkey and look at a hippo...do they look the same to you? Do they have the shape of body parts and skin texture? Do you think it would be wise or healthy for a hippo to put his penis in a monkey's vagina? No I do not think so. Because all animals look and are made up completely different from each other! They all require a different environment and different types of diets. Now look at human beings. Do we have different parts? Do some us have wings and others have tails and fins? No, I know we do not. Can any human penis correctly fit into any human vagina? Yes...because humans were made equally! Animals are one species and humans are one species so do not compare the two because Jesus already said we are worth more than animals. God did not say anything about race. He does not want us to be with anyone that would stray us away from Him, however and that's why He commanded the Israelites not be with certain nations because they would stray them away from God. I do not think the yellowness or blackness of someone's skin will stray someone away form God. It's all about personality and God's will. God is love and love does not focus on color. Even the rainbow is a symbol of God's love and it multi-coloured. But anyway, I guess you too need to be taught with crayons and paper. I'll pray for you. Ignorance is certainly not bliss, but the Truth will set you free...one day.

People should stop lying to their kids and tell them the real reason they don't wont there children to date interracially and stop saying that god says its a sin, because all people are sinners and one day god will judge us all whether you are white black polka dotted or swirled it doesn't matter we are all people , and when people say that god created a diverse group of people and man started mixing the races then that is stupid first of all who said that the people in the bible weren't mixed with other races and second who knows even what color Jesus was movies and books portray him as white but seriously who knows what color he was notice I said color and not race because being a different color and race is completely different and let's stop with all this crap about in a few years we all going to be creamed pshhh....I don't know about you but I'm still going to be black and our skin ain't changing , and unless everyone starts trading there wives and husbands for other races then people are still going to remain the same..so just be honest stop bringing god into this and making it seem like its a sin because it's not god doesn't judge us by outside but inside and I would think that would be obvious to some but some can't get over the fact that it doesn't look right to friends and famlily..I mean two genders can marry and that's normal but two races of people both man and woman can't...something's wrong with that....and btw I am a 19 year old black female so to all the young confused people, one word of advice do what you feel right if they don't love god with everything then find you somebody who does regardless of their skin color

I had heard and beleived this as well... however, moses, samson, and others married out side their race. In the end Jesus Christ will also marry gentiles. I guess we just really need to think about things.

Anonymous said...

Many of the people practicing miscegation are people who are lonely and can't find someone of their own race to love them. They would rather marry outside of their race than be lonely for the rest of their lives. There are a great many people out there, however, who are doing it because they have an agenda. Some of these people are so seriously mismatched that the person couldn't possibly be attracted to the other one. We had a speaker at church from some institution that said there are a great many people trying to push this country to the far left and create as much chaos as they can in order to force a dictator into power. Salvation is universal and God loves everyone equally regardless of who they are but in Genesis 9:26-27, God through Noah, blesses the decendants of Shem and Japheth. "Blessed be the LORD,
The God of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant. "May God enlarge Japheth, And let him dwell in the tents of Shem; And let Canaan be his servant." Shem begat the Hebrew people and Japheth's decendants are the various European peoples. I believe God blessed them in particular because they had a special role to play in Earth's history including the spreading of the Gospel to the four corners of the world.

If you think about it, the bible actually says interracial marriage is okay in the section of the bible on divorce (ironic). The bible says there are only 2 reasons a believer is allowed (don't know if allowed is the right word or not) to get a divorce: infidelity and if one of the 2 is a nonbeliever and wants a divorce. At the time, only Jews followed this law, so you could infer that God is allowing interracial marriage (although it might not end well)

Anonymous said...

People originally were all similar in appearance since we all originated from Adam and Eve's decendants. Everyone also spoke the same language. If you read Genesis 11 you find that the Lord confused their langauge and scattered them over the face of the Earth. Obviously, the different peoples who spoke different languages were transformed at some point, either instantaneously or as they spread over the Earth. It was meant to act as a barrier to prevent them from coming together again.

1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. 3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. 6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. 7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

In Acts 17:26 we learn that God set the bounds of habitation for the different tribes living on the Earth.

It seems to me that it's God's intention to keep the different races separate.

Anonymous said...

It is clear, at least to me, in the Bible that God intended for different tribes to be separate. Natios, after all, are defined by a common ancestry, religion, culture, etc. America has strayed from this universal concept over the past 45 years and is now living on borrowed time before its eventual demise if the Lord doesn't come back before this.

Anonymous said...

Jeremy, I take issue with your take on the Tower of Babel. Your argument is pretty weak on this point. Yes, the Bible does speak of language not race. However, the peoples he separated into languages were all distinctive and separate peoples, either before the Tower of Babel was built or after he scattered them across the Earth. There is no way you can argue that the people who spoke what was the precursor to Chinese or Japanese were Caucasians or that the speakers of Indo-Aryan languages were African. I don't see any other take on this story other than God wanted to separate the different tribes or he wanted the human race divided into tribes to separate them. It says what it says.

I live in a mostly small town with few minorities and I've seen some pretty strange things. Interracial couples walking into the grocery store without getting a cart or picking up items off the shelves, just walking around the store to see if anyone is looking at them. It was later when I started seeing white men with black women that I started suspecting the whole thing was a put on. Men with really blond hair, pretty uncommon nowadays, that look like catalog models, with women who are less than attractive. I'm sorry, I just don't believe that someone who spends a lot of time working out and keeping in shape is going to have any interest in any woman who has a chunky waist or a masculine face, no matter what race they are. It's just common sense. What's funny about all this is if they lived around here, they'd be pretty noticeable all the time. But you only see these couples once and then they vanish only to be replaced by another one. It's almost as if they belong to some kind of traveling theatre troup. They seem to work very hard to create the most bizarre images and then try to top that with something even more bizarre the next week.

God created and loves all of His children, no matter the color of their skin. We do all bleed red BUT... when sex is involved the genes produce a different color of skin and hair in most cases. I'm a Christian and love all people for who they are not their color. Here's something to think about... If white & black mix in producing children, they both lose a part of their ancestery because the child will not be white nor black but rather a mix... usually but not always resulting in a darker color than white and a lighter color of brown. If everyone decided to mix, eventually there won't be any differnt colors but rather all the same. The scripture in speaking of "unequally yoked" isn't speaking of color at all, it is speaking of an unsaved person marrying a saved person. God looks at our heart not our color, besides He created us He knows exactly what percent of what gene we have in us. None of us are 100% any race, if you will, other than the race of Adam and Eve... which is where we ALL came from. If one wants to preserve the color of their own skin, my advice is to stay within that color, if it doesn't matter about the color of "YOUR" skin to you then scriptrally, it's your choice as long as you are equally yoked (meaning both of you are either saved - serving the same God or unsaved- non believers. I was taught by my parents & family that is a sin to intermarry, but this is not what the scriptures teach us. It is difficult to go against what one has been taught from childhood and lived by all their life, so to those of you who are trying to convince the babyboomers and older of this, it will certainly be a challenge. But when it's all said and done...The Bible is right, the scriptures are true and we must live by the living words of GOD. In the South, it's been the belief that it is a sin to marry outside of your own color and is shameful if you do. Again , this is not scripture and can not be found in the Bible. A few main points to keep in mind are... that mixing colors changes preserving your color forever and determines the color of your future children, be sure to be equally yoked and on the same page of both of your beliefs and that you both serve Jesus Christ, the beloved son of God, discuss how you both believe your children should be raised, how will you celebrate holidays and where do both families fit in, what church will you both attend, your careers, all of these should be discussed and understood so that after marriage it will prevent future problems on these subjects. Ask your friends and church family to pray with & for you about this lifetime decision and commentment that you are about to enter into as well as for your family to be openminded and to listen to what the scriptures say. God Bless you as you seek His divine guidance in this matter. Alway Pray and pray and pray some more. Pray without ceasing.

Reducing racial differences to skin color is pretty trite and naive. If everyone magically turned the same color, you can still tell their race by their facial features, bone structure, cranial disposition, body style, eye color, hair, etc. Diseases like Sickle Cell Anemia or Autism aren't suddenly going to start affecting other groups nor will medications that work for specific people start working for everyone. The IQ gap will remain in place and other differences between the races will still be there no matter whether everyone has the same skin color or not. These are embedded genetic traits put there by God for a reason. In Genesis we learn that God's plan for marriage is between one man and one woman but nowhere in the Bible is polygamy condemned. It is generally understood by most Christians that this practice is wrong and goes against God's plan. Also, in Genesis, we learn that God separated the different tribes of the Earth to prevent them from coming together again. Let's just say hypothetically that everyone race mixed. What would be the end result? One would be that Scientific achievement would come to a halt because the IQ range between 120 and 60 would be levelized. Nations are defined by ancestry, religion, culture, etc. These nations would disentegrate and with everyone the same, there would be no barrier to one world government. In effect, a return to Babel. Do you really think this is God's intention that he created diverse peoples only to have them mix together?

Continued: Why do you automatically assume that people think God doesn't love everyone because he separated the races? He didn't just separate Europeans from Africans and other races but also Orientals from Europeans and Africans from Orientals and every other combination you can think. Most mammals bleed red but people don't breed with them.

You only need to look to nature to see God's plan. Different species of the same animal do not normally breed with each other. Tigers and lions, red squirrels and brown squirrels, zebras and horses, etc., are all capable of mating and producing children. Most of these hybrids are produced in captivity, not in the wild, and mostly through fertilization techniques. In other words, man is meddling with God's plan for nature. There are numerous of studies of mixed race people that conclusively show that they suffer from a wide variety of physical and mental problems at a greater rate than unmixed people. Race mixing is genetic incompatibility.
The races have developed genes that code for polypeptides that code proteins that interact with other proteins and compounds in the body. These interactions are often between fully compatible compounds, and efficiency is lost if these compounds are not fully compatible. Your parents both have thousand of interacting compounds that over thousands of years have been selected because they were present in that population. Race mixing breaks up these collections of alleles that work together to make compatible traits. One example is that mixed race children rarely can find bone marrow donors because of their genetic abberancy.

One has to wonder why there is such a big push to promote this? Well, look at how successful the government has been at promoting black dependency. They make it easy for a black woman to drop out of high school and make a living off of welfare if they get pregnant. The vast majority of black women are unmarried and about 75 percent of children are born out of wedlock. The same time they encourage black women that they don't need a man, they also place abortion clinics in inner cities. The media works overtime to portray black women as unattractive which destroys their self-esteem. They've been so successful with their campaign that many black men want anything but a black woman. Black women try to change their appearance with wigs, hair extensions, etc. Many black celebrities perpetuate this by wearing blonde wigs, skin bleachers, cosmetic surgery, etc. to take on a more caucasian appearance. This affects the self-esteem of little black girls who look up to these people. If one looks at the big picture here, it looks as if this is one big eugenics program.

You'll pray for my kids? First of all, you know absolutely nothing about me and you’re being judgmental, something that is decidedly unchristian. I am wondering if you lack the necessary knowledge and rhetorical skills to counter my post and have decided to paint yourself as taking the moral high road on this issue by posting your one liner. If so, your moral authority is empty without backing it up with the proper evidence to support it, otherwise you are just twisting in the wind.
Secondly, that is a pretty odd response to my observation that some government officials and the media might be colluding in the genocide of the African-American people. Let’s say this was 1941, and I was testifying before a Congressional hearing of my observation of poisonous gas being shipped into concentration camps in Germany and of mass graves being dug in the countryside. You, being one of the committee members, leans forward and insinuates that I’m not a fit parent. Everyone in that room would be scratching their heads and thinking you’ve lost your mind or that you’re a Nazi sympathizer.

I do believe that this person has roots in white supremacy.....Eve was the "Mother of all nations"....God has given us the ability to merge all races, economic and sociological backgrounds into "His Kingdom". One that will welcome His second coming, as His Bride, without blemish or spot. NOT OF ONE RACE, Superior, or genetically pure! Beside the fact that JESUS WASNT WHITE!!! OOPS! God Bless you all !

Also the Old Testament indicates that Moses was married to a Cushite, They were Etheopian...or BLACK! His sister Miriam was upset with her brother and had an unfavorable response to his marrying a Cushite....a racist reaction. God was not pleased with her reaction...and cursed her with leprosy! Hmmmmm....go figure!

It’s funny how you can go on a long dormant website and posit a theory about African-Americans being targeted in some sort of eugenics program and all of a sudden the place comes alive with people creating distractions and even accusing you, of all things, white supremacy. Could you elaborate on this or is this another one of your judgmental feelings? This is the second time you’ve posted an eccentric reply to my genocide theory. Notice that all this talk of being superior, genetically pure and the color of Jesus’ skin is coming off this poster’s lips, not mine. Let’s get off this detour and get down to brass tacks, shall we? I’d love to hear your comments on it without all the bluster accompanied by your last post. However, you’ll probably post some more noise on this board or maybe just vanish into cyberspace never to be heard again. Surprise me.

Your theology has a few holes in it. One thing is that both Aaron and Miriam were criticizing Moses and challenging his leadership authority. They were making the claim that God also spoke through them and that's when the Lord took action against them. Nowhere in God's response is Moses' wife mentioned:

2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this.

3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)

4 At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:

“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,
I speak to them in dreams.
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”
9 The anger of the Lord burned against them, and he left them.

I see that I have scared off the anonymous writer that I challenged so I’m going to dissect their post piece by piece. First of all, Eve was not the “Mother of all nations”. Genesis 3:20, And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. It was the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth, whose offspring founded the nations of the world. Genesis 18, And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. Genesis 19, These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. Shem’s descendants are the Hebrew people. Ham consists of the tribes of Arabia, Ethiopia, Libya, Egypt, China and Babylon among others. The descendants of Japheth include but are not limited to the Germans, Celts, Scandinavians, Greeks, Spanish, Russians and Saxons. God’s confusion of the people’s language and the scattering of the different tribes from Babylon to the four corners of the earth occurred about 250 years after the flood (Genesis 11).

“God has given us the ability to merge all races, economic and sociological backgrounds into "His Kingdom". One that will welcome His second coming, as His Bride, without blemish or spot.”

If you are trying to say that salvation is universal regardless of a person’s race, social status or economic background, then I agree. If you believe people should “merge” together into a raceless, classless society to await the return of Jesus, that’s not biblical doctrine and it comes straight out of the Communist Manifesto. The people who espouse such things profess to be atheists.

Beside the fact that JESUS WASNT WHITE!!!

White is a color not a race. If you mean white as in European, of course he wasn’t. Both of his parents were Jewish and it can be assumed that Jesus took the form of a Jew to be accepted by the people he wanted to lead. White skin is not exclusively a European trait. It’s also found among Turks, Syrians, Lebanese, Arabs, North Africans, Persians, Indians, Chinese, Japanese and Koreans among others. Looking at the typical phenotype of the Israeli people, it’s quite likely that Jesus did have light skin but the fact is quite trivial. As the savior of the world, it doesn’t matter what he looks like.

I am a 14 yr old girl doing research about this and I have decided that a scripture is like a trifold mirror in each one you see a different view depending on your stand point. The only true way to know what God had meant is to ask him. But I will take the risk and say that love is more important than color.

Anonymous said...

What a coincidence. I too am a fourteen year old girl doing research about this and I have decided that the races should remain separate as they were intended. Honestly, when all else fails and the weak arguments result in your behind getting kicked on this website, by all means drag out that tired, old, boring, psychological propaganda . The stage is set but the script is stale, the vision is predictable, the work is puerile and unoriginal and there aren't any people buying tickets.

I pose a riddle and I challenge you or anyone else to answer it. If God intended for people to mix together why does it say in Acts 17:26 that he set the different tribes boundaries of habitation? Why would you need to set boundaries for them if everyone is the same and interchangeable? It would be difficult to twist this passage into a pretzel and make it say something totally different than what it does. However, there are people out there who can make the Bible say anything, including endorsing homosexual marriage, so go ahead and amuse me.

What i have to say is simple... Let us create a pretend situation for a second. Let us say someone killed a family member and they found the person who murdered them through DNA. Would you question the DNA test and think it was not true? Well according to EVERYONES DNA humans originated in Africa. Humans had a great migration in which we went to different areas in the world. Our skin color changed due to the different places we ended up. This is a scientific explanation. It does somehow bring to mind the tower of Babylon scripture doe it not? Here is my other question. I do not understand if God does not want me to have a interracial relationship why can two people of different races have a baby in the first place? If i bred a horse with a cow would i get some freakish offspring? The answer is no because they could not reproduce. In my heart it is because God does not intend for that to happen. I would also like to ask a question. How do you know your completely one race? The human race in itself(according to and accepted by Christians)dates back at least 100,000 years. How are you guys so sure ALL of those people were just one color? I certainly can not assure every single person in my genetics is the same color. All i am saying is that i feel a human is a human no matter what color we are. God would not allow us to reproduce with different races if it were wrong.

So let me ask you this... if i were to take this and say use history. Then our white ancestor stepped over this boundary and came to America. Then they would have broken this right? Then they marry another white ancestor from a different country that would be wrong right? Then every child born thereafter would be some abomination right? Their skin color is still white but they over stepped this boundary? They by definition are considered different because they originated from different areas but they are seemingly the same race? I think you are the one that is using the bible to say what YOU want it to say here.

I am Catholic, white female & 27, and I have never understood why my parents say that it's wrong to be in an inter-racial relationship. I understand that it's just where they are coming from, however NOT all Catholic's are the same. Sure, I had a couple bad experiences with black men in the past; but it doesn't mean that all blacks are the same, because they are NOT & I have tried to explain that to my step-dad in the past, but he doesn't care (to him, all blacks are the same & it makes me mad). I have never been racist, and never will be; I have friends of all races & I was taught to love everyone, not just the same ethnicity. It's just ridiculous. My family is ALWAYS number 1 in my life, however they don't get to control your happiness; so you've just got to do what's right for you. I am a proud Catholic, but I'm not one to point out little facts about one's ethnicity; NOT everyone is the same. I just wish that people would see that. God teaches us to LOVE everyone no matter what your race ... you don't have to like them, but Love is the only way you make it to Heaven. It's hard to even have friends of a different race in my family, because all they do is judge them, but I can't talk to them, because they won't listen to me. I may have said it already, but I'm going to say it again ... everybody is made differently; skin color, voice -- the whole nine yards. You are made to LOVE everyone, NOT to judge them.

Ruth was a moabite, a descendant of Lot who is Abrahams nephew, technically she is of the same lineage she is not a different race. By the way we are all one race. Human. White, black, indian, ect is not a race its a type of one race, the human race. But as you see in nature a lion does not breed with a cheeta nor a panther with a bobcat because each has their own inherit traits that when mixed would cause a weaker mix due to being not compatable on a cellular level. When humans inter mix it causes their children to have problems with gentic structuring such as higher risk of diabetes, heart disease ect. This is scientifically proven. Plus it causes some children psychological issues due to being made fun of and picked on or even harmed by racist people. I dont believe we should hate each other or have hatred toward one another. Jesus says to love all. I just dont believe that interracial offspring was meant to be.

Jesus died so that we didn't have to sacrifice for the remission of sin...JESUS WAS NOT A WAIVER but a SAVIOR...u can't sin and do wrong and say oh I'm going to heaven..No..you will suffer eternal death just as we were born into UNLESS u be REBORN and TURN from sinful nature!
Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

I believe that we are all God's children. We have the light of Christ within us. With black and white people married there can be many benefits, including the Spirit of the Lord allowing one another to get to know one another deeper and deeper. They can love their children as they love God just like any other marriage. Although I have a dad from Egypt and a mother whose American I view myself as a child of the One True King, The Holy of Hollies, The Lord of Lords, My God, My Father, Jesus Christ. In 1 Samuel 16:7 it says, "But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." We all have a perspective of our own- but what do God's eyes see? When we have accepted Jesus and are covered by the blood of the King. He see's Jesus through us, and our heart covered by the blood of Christ and spewing the unconditional love of Jesus- who are we to talk about race? When this is what the Lord looks at.

Can an enemy of Israel only be those of the same race/color?

Deut. 21:10-13

10 When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,

11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;

12 Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;

13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.

Here, God specifically allows interracial marriages.

And this is why the bible should not be taken literally, word for word. I have never read such animosity toward complete strangers simply because of their beliefs. Ones opinion on what is meant in the scriptures should never be forced upon others. If it was meant to be taken word for word, we would NOT have free will. Everyone has free will to interpret scriptures for themselves, NOT to shove those interpretations upon others. We are all humans, race is irrelevant.

K. said...

God loves us all equally. Lev 19:19 was not mentioned why? Hummmm. It is a teaching that God says he is our Lord God & we are not to intermix seeds we plant, interbreed cattle or livestock with other breeds, not to mix certian fabrics into a garmet. Yes God created many different races of us humans. So like your comment that if all mix there will be no pure races of the special heritage he made us. Like the colors of the rainbow or a box of crayons- if mix/melt all colors together we would lose reds blues black pinks greens white browns etc. Wow what a loss of God's beautiful creation. Also a human genetic fact- Dr ask our daughter who went to Dr when first was told she was pregnant. Dr ask I need know race of the father. Daughter told him & said may I ask why? Dr said well if you are white or black or other race & baby's Daddy is one different then you then there is an increase in the chance of birth defects for baby. That is a medical fact not from the word of God. But if it is meant for the different races to marry then why would that be genetically a fact? Now there are lots of mixed race people & God loves the children all the same. It is just if we care first about pleasing God & doing what he wants then seek his will. Not yours nor mine! If a child is conceived from rape will it have a soul? Will God love them. Yep! But should the rape have happened? Was it God's will. No but a life & soul is precious & should always know each is loved of God. Also the women Moses & Samson etc married were not of different color but of different tribes & different spiritual beliefs. God wants children of christians to be taught his laws not idol or false God worship. Love each other yes

Every decision of life is a one on one personal thing. Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you. Pray that the Lord will show YOU the truth. Don't worry about anyone else! Just you and the Lord. He wants you to talk to him. He will give YOU His answer. Just ask and in love receive it. Jesus loves each of us. At the end, it will be Only you and the Lord. Ask HIM for the truth and accept HIS answer to YOU. Why are you worrying over what everyone else thinks. It is between you and God. Chew on it, but ask God to help you with the decision to digest the truth. We all see through a glass darkly, we were all given free will so feel free to ask HIM. If in doubt, throw it out. Plain and simple.

I love to worship with the black people, and laugh with them dance with them talk with them and all the things I do with my white friends, but I don't want them to marry my white daughters and I don't feel I'm wrong! This is because they have different traits, differences are so many and varied that its impossible to name them all here, I wouldn't want any of my daughters to marry black, or ethnics of any kind, , so to speak,,, there are only two "races" ,, black and white, the others are not called "races",, but their "ethnicity"... so please stop trying to say just because we are one blood we are the same,,we are not the same, nor can we be nor should we want to be, GOD MADE us this way! He was not wrong!

The bible does say to stop sinning.so are you telling me if a homosexual goes to church and is saved .then goes home and continues to practice homosexuality that God did forgive him.wrong if you continue sinning in homosexuality until you die.you my friend will not be forgiven.homosexuality is an abomination unto god.he made Adam and Eve.Not adam and Steve.so any person who sins continueously after asking God into their lives and continues to sin in the homosexual lifestyle.they will also burn for eternity in the pit of hell.God says it is an abomination .homosexuals claim they were born gay.again impossible.God made a man to lay down with a woman .not a man with a man.or a woman with another woman.being gay is free will a choice as God said he gave us all free will. So to continue in sin while going to church and still having sex with your gay lover then not only did you punish yourself as lying and claiming you are a christian you continued being gay and go to church .lies all lies if you are a christian you are to refrain fom thatsin. you can't claim to be a follower of God while holding hands with satan.if you're a christian and stop sinning then you have to stop laying in bed with the same sex then you are saved .long story short you have to stop being gay and lay down as a man with a woman.opposite sex from your own.or you are still sinning and are still an abomination.God didn't make you gay.you chose to be gay.and if you practice being gay after claiming to be a christian that makes you a liar.you can't be gay and be a christian.you are either a ex homo who becomes straight to be a christian and get a chance of going to heaven.or you stay gay and burn in hell.it is your choice.

Chinese people worship the Budda.some blacks worship Mohammed. Muslims whorship alla.some of us worship idols of gold or silver.or images of angels or a cross.some worship greek and Roman Gods.like Zeus.afroditie.pagans worship the diety or false God they think lives in the sun.some worship a diety that lives in the moon.point is people choose a God to worship. God said there is no other God before him or after.so if a chinese who worships the Budda and a white man or a black man who worships the one and only God.then they fall in love and make offspring who worships his own God he is a sinner .if 2 people worship the same God and multiply they are friutful.so if a believer of God starts to worship a diety of the sun or moon or lets say the budda.did he leave God ? Answer is yes he chose to worship another God which makes him a nonbeliever of the only God.therefore we are all supposed to worship only God the creater of heaven and earth.if a Christian leaves God to worship the God of another tribe or nation then he is no longer of God .God said to stick to one nation of people who all worship him.don't go out of God to worship idols deities or any other God but him.so if a man whom is a Christian marries a person of a different nation who say worships budda God calls that an abomination. Since each race of people have their own God they accept and worship they are considered a different nation or tribe of people. 32 chapters and many verses say this in the bible.so if a chinese worships the Budda and does not believe in The God of all creation heaven and earth.we are to not mix relations with them .leading us from God to worship another God is basically leaving God to go worship Satan.anmanod is not satisfied with that.he said not to worship any other God but him so if you are not worshiping God you're worshiping Satan .case closed it has nothing to do with color of our skin it is weither you worship God or Satan.you can't love God yet walk with Satan.does this help those of you who think God is racist.has nothing to with race but free will to worship God or worship another God that God being Satan.
