Lung Update #6 - LONG Night Ahead

We are headed back to ICU. Jeremy's fever continues to climb and his oxygen levels are extremely low. They are very uncomfortable with it and are talking with the surgeon to see what Dr. Quaong would have us to do. Regardless, we are unable to detect if it related to the PICC line, which has now produced blood as we needed it to. Or it could be related to a blood clot present in the lung from the surgery. They have performed another chest x-ray, an ekg, and some other test along with taking SEVERAL viles of blood to rush off to the lab. Jeremy's oxygen level in the direct blood test were at 56 and should be in the 80s.

So if you are up - pray. You know what to pray for. Pray for the oxygen to go up. Pray for the clot, if there is one, to break loose. Pray for the PICC line to rid of any infection it might have. Pray for the fever to break. They have given him more pain medication and they have given him oxygen for the night. He has also received tylenol for the fever.

Pray that they will at least let him sleep. I know they will run more tests in roughly 8 hours or less. That gives us some time. Pray for my family to get sleep and for Emma to sleep. I am not with her and she gets antsy.

Just pray. I am not in a state of worry, but I am racking my brain trying to remember to ask all the right questions. Love you all.

Jodi - I will stay up to pray for you and Jeremy! I trust that they have let you stay with him. I hurt for you because I know that this is scary and frustrating. You are loved! Again - thank you for taking your precious time to update the blog. It means SO MUCH to those of us back in Hayden to know what is happening.

dear Father- give jodi the strength she needs to make it through this week. Calm Jeremy's fever. Help Emma understand enough to be the brave, big girl she is capable of. In all of this, You alone get the praise. Help Jeremy have a speedy recovery, if it is your will. Ease his pain, Father. You are the healer he needs. Help him relax, rid his body of fever, and heal his incisions. He is a great inspiration to us all. We need him, Father. You are able to help him where we can not. You can comfort him. You can make him better. If it be Your will, heal him.

We will continue to pray without ceasing.

Jodi & Jeremy,
We are all praying for the the both of you. Also for the nurses and doctors that are doing their best to help Jeremy. I have been keeping Mike updated with your updates. He called me early this morning and said,he wants to do something for Jeremy to elevate his spirits. Can he send him anything (Card,Flowers, well wishes)?I don't know the name of the hospital or anything. If you remember on the next update could you put that on there along with a phone #. We know God is a big God and there is a reason behind everything he puts us through. If we knew his plans then we wouldn't have faith. Be strong. We are all praying here in Hayden and everyone that knows the two of you. We know how valuable you are doing his work.He will heal Jeremy, that I believe with all my heart. I just don't think he is through using the two of you yet.Remember you are in all our prayers and we love you.
