Lung Update #26 - Friday Restrictions

They have opted not to do the CT scan as of yet today. Jeremy did have an x-ray, but that does not mean very much. The doctors will be conferencing at 11:00 this morning to discuss what is best for Jeremy in terms of removal of the last tube and the monitoring of his status over the day. His pacreatic enzymes have elevated again. As a result, he is NPO for the entire day - that is NO FOOD or DRINK. He was SO GOOD yesterday with his diet. His daily fat gram count restriction is 40 grams and he ate 26 grams the ENTIRE DAY.

He is also feeling pretty crummy this morning. He cannot really describe the symptoms, just that he doesn't feel well. So the steady climb we were making has paused. We really need you to bathe him in prayer this morning. Pray that whatever is causing his discomfort or weakness or just blah feeling will cease. He is receiving an IV of nutrients today, but that will not completely strengthen him like a good meal will. We ask you to pray for his enzymes to GO DOWN. Pray that this "starving" does just that. Pray that he can rest some today in between all the consults and poking and prodding. Pray that he does not have pancreatitis. Satan is trying hard to rob Jeremy of joy and peace and we need Satan to be banned from this place. We need a hedge of protection around him. We need the Jeremy that was beginning to show to not go away.

Pray for his resolve and for his spirits. Pray for his health and continual improvement. Pray they still do the CT and pull this tube. I still feel that would make him feel better. Pray for wisdom on all people today - me, Jeremy, Dr. Kemp, Dr. Shrump, Dr. Malech, nurses, and techs. Pray for no setbacks, only steps forward. Even if they are baby steps, we are ok with steps forward.

Jeremy and Jodi,
We will continue to lift both of you and the doctors up in prayer. We will pray specifically for the things you have requested.Stay strong in the Lord. He is our refuge and our strength. It's sounds like you are ministering to all of the people around you and a blessing to others as you are such as blessing to us. I have encouraged Jason this week about what a wonderful job he is doing. I am so thankful for you and your family and truly believe that God will do big things in your lives. On a home note, Jake qualified first yesterday for the district golf tournament in Ft. Payne. Joe Lyles did too. GO TIGER JAKE GO! We love ya'll. I have a pack of Starbuck's coffee waiting you Jodi when you get home.

Jodi and Jeremy,
"Leaning on the everlasting arms..." as the home goes, --I know you are doing just that. That is a great comfort to me in difficult times.
You are both so descriptive in your writing that I can just see you both in the future as famous published authors, helping and encouraging others. We are so blessed to have you as pastor and pastor's wife.
I continue to pray for you, your situation, and those around you, and for your safe return to us. We love you "lots."

You don't know me but I'm Suzy Mett's mother, Josie Pruett. She sent me the link to your blog and I've read it most every day and just want you to know my prayers, too are with you. I'm so proud for them in this new position they're undertaking with you two who are so strong in the things of God, living your life totally dependent on Him in full trust. I plea the blood of Jesus over you and place a hedge about you, binding satan from you and releasing wholeness within you. God's blessings on you.
